So ya know that new challenge blog I've been playing over on, Mission Create? Well just a week or so ago they announced their first winner...and guess who it was?! Me!!! I'm so happy! Just this week I received a gorgeous box full of sweet scrap goodies from The Paper Passion...blues and greens and all...perfect for scrappin' The Boy and finishing up a few more projects for December...Thank you Mission Create and thank you The Paper Passion!
So now that I've won already should I quit while I'm ahead? Not a chance! This has been way too much fun so here is my creation for Mission 0004:
The options this time were: use an ad as inspiration (the ad was posted on MC), use a creature (check out my seahorse), mini alphas, blue/green/orange and a title from a children's book. I couldn't resist using 'em all again...why not?
Well, I'm off to work on Christmas scrappin' till I get called into work! Sweet dreams!

Bad news...good news!
The bad news is I've been sick. I'm better now save a slight cough, but unfortunately the worst of it hit on Halloween forcing me to miss out on all the festivities. Yea, I'm still mad about wasting time building a costume I never got to wear anywhere, but what're ya gonna do. I'm just glad it was pretty mild to begin with.
The good news? I'm an auntie again!!! My brother and his wife had their first baby a few weeks ago and she is an absolute doll. I won't get to see her quite yet, but i did hit the store as soon as I was feeling better and have sent her out some cool new threads to get her started.
Speaking of which...I've been scrapping again. It's hard not to with such a pretty new member of the family! This has proven a wonderful new opportunity to try my hand at girl pages. Here's my contribution to Mission 0003 at Mission Create:
I know the rules state specifically you can use as many or as few parts of each challenge as you like, but I really feel it a personal challenge to include all of them, since combining challenges is one of my favourite things to do. It also provides more direction, which makes the Lo come together faster. This time round was: pink (check), buttons (check), transparency (check), a specific sketch (check here), and lyrics from "My life would suck without you" by Kelly Clarkson. It didn't specify how many or few lyrics, and I tell ya it was a bit of a challenge trying to incorporate those into a birth announcement page, but I managed to get one line in at the end of the journalling. Woohoooo! Thanks for looking. Sweet dreams!
